Dior is known for their signature cannage quilting design. This time, they’ve given their classic pattern a little twist to make it even more appealing and more luxurious. This handstitched Dior Granville Tote is actually part of their fall collection, and this is perhaps one of the few that really stands out.
What’s so new and interesting about this bag is that it has hand-stitched cannage detailing.
It has a zip along the top, and the “hour-glass” shape can actually be folded over, just like on other convertible bags we have these days. This gives you an option of whether carrying the Dior Granville tote as a handbag through its top handles with rings and 3¾-inch drop or as a shoulder bag through its detachable 44-inch shoulder strap.
It doesn’t come structured and the irregularity and 3D effect of the pattern definitely makes this even more appealing. Of course, silver-tone hardware completes its luxurious totality, which you can find on the loops and on the hanging DIOR charms.
As of Pre-fall 2014, the Dior Granville Cannage stiching is updated to be more subtle. The raised embossed leather is replaced with light stiching to represent the classic cannage print. In addition, new exteriors in pony hair effect are also available. The Dior Granville tote will be made available in different interior lining, either two-tone calfskin leather or pony-hair effect.
